Attention: this concert for Fête de la Musique 2026 is canceled in Vitry-sur-Seine. Because a red heatwave alert has been issued for Sunday, June 21 at noon, the City says the Fête de la Musique is canceled as a precaution. The concert planned at the Parc du Coteau is therefore not going ahead.
For more than 40 years now, the Fête de la Musique has been lighting up June by offering a huge number of free concerts every June 21st all across France. Launched in 1982 by the Ministry of Culture, with the goal of giving amateur musicians a platform to express themselves and gain exposure, the Fête de la musique has come a long way and even gone international.
In France, more and more musicians each year want to take part in this grand, joyful and inclusive event, to showcase their music to as many listeners as possible. After all, the Fête de la musique is meant to be eclectic. All genres are welcome, whether rock, metal, punk, rap, hip-hop, R&B, reggae, blues, jazz, French variety, or electronic, house, and disco.
This year follows the same rule, with once again a wealth of musical plans announced in Paris and the Île-de-France region, including Vitry-sur-Seine. This Île-de-France town in the Val-de-Marne invites kids and adults to join in on Sunday, June 21, 2026, for an evening that's as festive as it is welcoming. All it takes is a trip to the Parc du Coteau-Marcel-Rosette starting at 5 p.m. The lineup? Free concerts paying tribute to R&B, reggae, salsa, Oriental pop, and even French pop.
