Due to the heatwave, the Fête de la Musique at the Élysée Palace has been moved from 7 p.m. to midnight.
As every year, French people are getting ready to hit the streets to celebrate music in joy and good spirits. For more than four decades now, this grand and popular, festive event has become a platform for amateur musicians to express themselves, perform on a real stage, and gain wider recognition.
So, there are plenty of musical highlights on June 21 in Paris and the Île-de-France region. With a program that's always rich and varied, music lovers can choose from rock shows in a legendary venue in the capital, an open-air electro set at a trendy spot, or a classical concert in the Marais. But other events are unmissable on June 21, such as an evening at the Élysée Palace, specially organized for this year’s Music Day.
Sunday, June 21, 2026, the forecourt of the Palais de l'Élysée will once again pulse to the rhythm of a new edition of the Music Day. Having welcomed artists like Cerrone, Jean-Michel Jarre, Charlie Winston, Gilbert Montagné, Xenia, and The Avener in recent years, Emmanuel Macron invites a fresh lineup of diverse musical styles to perform outdoors at the Élysée Palace. It’s worth recalling that this iconic institution, housed in the capital’s 8th arrondissement, has been the seat of the French presidency and the official residence of the head of state since the Second Republic.
