World Music Day 2026 in Gif-sur-Yvette (Essonne, 91): schedule adjusted for the heatwave

The 2026 Fête de la Musique will go ahead in Gif-sur-Yvette this Sunday, June 21, but the program has been adjusted due to a red heatwave alert. Outdoor activities will resume from 8 p.m.

Be advised, the 2026 Music Day program has been tailored for Gif-sur-Yvette. Because of the red heatwave alert, the Town says outdoor activities will run from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., then resume from 8 p.m.. No schedule changes are planned for the Parish of Saint-Rémi, the MJC Cyrano, Le Lumen, or the restaurants. Alcohol consumption in public spaces is prohibited by a prefectural order.

It's one of our favorite celebrations, the event that brings everyone together—young and old, rock fans and classical music enthusiasts. The fête de la musique is back on the dimanche 21 juin 2026 ! It's the chance to discover new artists, share our passion with loved ones, dance, sing, and have fun to the rhythm of the concerts gratuits organized all across France!

In Gif-sur-Yvette, music takes center stage on June 21. Across the town, from La Cour du Four to the Market Hall, through Parc Levasseur and across the different neighborhoods, there are concerts and activities for all ages and all tastes.

The town of Gif-sur-Yvette is located in the Essonne department, just 24 kilometers from Paris. This commune in the Vallée de Chevreuse is ringed by a vast forest and traced by the Yvette river. Expect bucolic, pastoral scenery that’s especially pleasant during the sunny season. Between concerts, don’t miss a chance to explore the town!

Cancelled: Yves & Yves at La Cour du Four. The band, however, is now scheduled to perform from 7:30 p.m. at L’Île O’crêpes, Rue Neuve.

City Hall Park

From 8 p.m. to midnight: Brass’Art, La Graine and Neodyme.
From 8 p.m.: music-themed face painting by Barbouillis de Nori.

Saint-Rémy Parish

From 3:30 p.m. to 9:45 p.m.: choirs and a repertoire spanning classical, baroque, sacred and varied works, featuring Atelier Chantant, the Gif Music School, Des croches et la lune, the Saint-Aubin Choir, the AVF Choir, the Choir of the Spanish Association of the Vallée de Chevreuse, Chœur Bouillon, Mocca’s Band and the Cantemus Vocal Ensemble.

Val Fleury Fountain Forecourt

From 8 p.m. to midnight: Musicaine, Harry Boze, Riverside and La Lost Factory.

Cyrano Youth Center

From 7 p.m. to midnight: concerts relocated from the south forecourt of Val Fleury to MJC Cyrano, featuring the students' association of Lycée de la Vallée de Chevreuse, Pink Tears, Behyped Musicband, and Unofficia.
