More than 40 years ago, Maurice Fleuret, Director of Music and Dance at the French Ministry of Culture, wanted music to be everywhere, and to pay tribute to this emotionally powerful art form. This desire gave birth to the Fête de la Musique in 1982. A free festival, open to all, giving all tastes and artists an equal chance to be heard.
A few years on, the Fête de la Musique has become an essential popular event, celebrating art and the arrival of summer, with concerts and musical entertainment in streets, parks, museums, cafés and restaurants, churches, and even ministries and official places!
In Paris, music resounds from every street corner: on Saturday, June 21, 2025, we'll be singing and dancing the night away! Electro concerts, classical music, children's songs, rock, pop, world music, reggae, blues, hip-hop... The options are endless. To help you make the most of this year's Fête de la musique, here's a list of concerts to see near you, in every arrondissement of the capital.
