As everyone knows, summer is the season for music festivals. It's at this time of year that artists take to the roads of France to perform at the many and varied festivals, and to make music lovers' hearts beat faster.
Additionally, several music festivals light up the capital every summer; notably the unmissable Solidays festival in ParisLongchamp, Solidays, but also the Days Off festival, which each year offers new, original works at the Philharmonie de Paris. And let’s not forget Rock en Seine at the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud, which since its inception has welcomed talented national and international artists.
Other music festivals that have become must-atts in Paris and the Île-de-France region? The Django Reinhardt festival, based in Seine-et-Marne, and the Paris Jazz Festival for jazz lovers, but also Fnac Live which each summer offers free concerts on the parvis of the Hôtel de Ville, the Peacock Society for electronic-music lovers, Yardland for hip-hop fans, or the iconic and legendary Fête de l’Huma which brings together a large crowd of spectators and activists each year.
