Every year in Paris and the Ile-de-France region, festivals spring up like mushrooms when the fine weather arrives. From must-sees like Solidays and Rock en Seine to the latest trends like Lollapalooza and We Love Green... there's something for everyone!
And then, the newest entrants. In 2023, We Love Green and Yard joined forces to birth a festival centered on popular cultures. Dubbed Yardland, this music event was set to welcome its first festival‑goers in the Val-de-Marne on July 1–2, 2023. But the inaugural edition could not take place at the Parc de Choisy in Paris. Owing to the riots that erupted in Île-de-France after Nahel’s death, the very first Yardland edition had to be cancelled by a prefectural order.
But the festival didn't give up, and decided to finally move to theHippodrome de Paris-Vincennes in the summer of 2024. For the occasion, Yardland welcomed a host of artists, including Gunna, Rema, Shay, Kalash, Zamdane, Kerchak, Amaarae and Tif.
Following its success, the Paris festival confirms its return in 2026, with a new third edition to be staged at the Hippodrome de Paris-Vincennes on Friday, July 3, Saturday, July 4 and Sunday, July 5. Once again, Yardland will celebrate hip-hop and Afro-Caribbean cultures by welcoming a roster of talented artists. On the lineup? established acts such as Franglish, RSKO, Leto, Ronisia, Chily, or even La Rvfleuze, Nono La Grinta and Timar. Niska is also slated to perform. For the occasion, the rapper will be backed by his Charos, namely Guy2Bezbar, La Mano 1.9 or 4Keus.
There’s no need to spell it out that this 2026 edition of Yardland is expected to draw a big crowd this summer at the Hippodrome de Paris-Vincennes. So a word to the wise: don’t wait to book your tickets here!
If the festival takes place at the Hippodrome de Vincennes, you’ll want to factor in that the nearest train station to the edge-of-forest venue is Joinville-le-Pont on the RER A. From there, it’s about ten minutes to the festival entrance, and be prepared for potential lines, especially if the event is sold out. There’s still quite a bit of walking to reach the first stage, so plan ahead beyond what the route and concert times you’re following might suggest.
In addition, the Hippodrome is fairly sun-exposed, so on sunny days remember to bring a cap or bandana to shield yourself from the glare. Wearing closed shoes is also wise, particularly if you plan to get close to the stage and don’t mind a bit of dust since the ground is quite sandy. At the start of the festival, the bar at the far end near the talks is relatively quiet, which helps if you want to avoid the queues.
We also commend the festival teams for their kindness and commitment to sustainability, including help with sorting waste. If you encounter inappropriate behavior, you can approach the blue-shirted staff whose job is to assist in such situations. All of this helps preserve the Yardland Festival’s lighthearted, good-vibes atmosphere.
Finally, one last tip: take a screenshot of the schedule shown on the Instagram page, grab the festival map, and make sure to top up your cashless account in advance—depending on your mobile operator and where you are at the racecourse, you may lose signal. As a reminder, all payments are made with your wristband; cash or card payments aren’t accepted on site.
