The summer season is eagerly awaited by many music lovers. At this time of year, Parisians love to bask in the sun on terraces, in parks and gardens or on the quayside. Others prefer to take advantage of the month of July to fill up on live music thanks to festivals organized all over Paris and the Ile-de-France region.
Festival season may have been underway for a few weeks now in France, but there are still plenty of musical events to satisfy the ears of lovers of classical music, R&B, pop, rap, jazz and electro.
The proof is in the festival Peacock Society, a haven for electro music lovers! Other music festivals also bring smiles to Parisians and Île-de-France residents every July, such as Paris Jazz Festival, Classique au Vert, not to mention Yardland, for fans of popular culture, and Do You Remember. Held in Val-d’Oise, this music festival pays homage to 90s and 2000s sounds!
Heads up: note that Lollapalooza unfortunately won’t happen this year. Held for several summers now on the lawn of the Hippodrome de ParisLongchamp, the Lolla – as fans call it – has quickly become Paris’s must-attend summer music event. Since its inception, the festival has welcomed big names like Imagine Dragons, Lana Del Rey, DJ Snake, Depeche Mode, Travis Scott, Diplo, Twenty One Pilots, The Strokes, Bad Bunny and Ben Harper. Attendees will have to wait until 2027 to reunite with their favorite Paris festival.
