You're after a lovely musical escape in the Hauts-de-Seine? The Orangerie de Sceaux Festival has plenty to entice for its 57th edition. From September 10 to 27, 2026, this staple for chamber-music enthusiasts once again takes over the magnificent Domaine départemental de Sceaux.
Founded in 1969 by violinist Alfred Loewenguth, this festival is notable for taking place in an exceptional setting. The Orangerie baroque, built in 1686 by Jules Hardouin-Mansart, the Sun King's architect, has recently undergone a handsome renovation that restores its full splendor.
Under the artistic direction of Jean-François Heisser since 2014, the festival has retained its signature spirit of openness and discovery. Over 600,000 spectators have already attended concerts since its inception, which speaks volumes for the quality of the programming and the public's attachment to the event.
For this 2026 edition, the program unfolds over 11 full days. The festival kicks off on September 10 at the Château with Geoffroy Couteau. The lineup ahead looks especially exciting, featuring Philippe Cassard, Aylen Pritchin, Isabelle Druet, Anna Fedorova, and Loco Cello.
