The 2026 Nuit Blanche program at Théâtre El Duende in Ivry-sur-Seine:

  • The Boleros Club
    Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 8:30 p.m. to 11:45 p.m.

    1) The Boleros Club — Radio Cabaret
    20h30 – 22h00 (1h20)
A live orchestra performs the great classics of the bolero repertoire and Latin-American love songs (Bésame Mucho, Historia de un Amor, etc.), in a warm, immersive atmosphere.
Around this concert, actors bring a live radio show to life: Le Courrier du cœur: confidences, love letters and intimate stories La Tombola de l’amour: a participatory and poetic stage game « Amor y Odio en Pudahuel »: an unpublished theatrical serial, part melodrama, part humor
The stage design evokes a radio-cabaret studio: warm lights, vintage microphones, close contact with the audience.
The show asks a central question: how to say it, sing it and share love today?
    2) Open Participation — The Boleros Club - Karaoke
    From 22h15
After the performance, the stage opens in a festive, convivial spirit: collective singing of love songs, spontaneous audience participation, interactions with the artists, extended musical and dancing moments.
This interlude extends the Nuit Blanche experience: a lively, open, communal night.
    3) Homage Exhibition to René Olivares
    Accessible all evening
Alongside the live forms, Théâtre El Duende presents an exhibition dedicated to René Olivares, Chilean painter and scenographer, a longtime artistic companion of the theatre.
René Olivares (1946–2025), based in Paris since the 1980s, was a major figure in visual creation linked to music and live performance. A longtime collaborator of Los Jaivas, he produced numerous album covers, posters and visual works.
His universe, deeply poetic and dreamlike, populated with symbolic landscapes and sensitive figures, resonates directly with the bolero’s imagination and the theme of love.
The exhibition will feature drawings, paintings and prints, stage elements from Théâtre El Duende, archives and documents tracing his journey between Chile and Europe.
This homage serves as a posthumous tribute to an artist whose motto, borrowed from Paul Éluard, sums up the project’s spirit:
« A poet is not someone who is inspired, but someone who inspires. »
