Music and Dance
The 2024 reopening of Notre-Dame de Paris called for a celebration worthy of the moment. This choreographic symphony extends that radiance through a sequence of reinvented ancient dances, braided with a kaleidoscope of influences—minimalism, pop, and electro—alongside Gregorian, baroque, and romantic resonances. Whether swirling or contemplative, rhythmic or melancholic, grand or playful, these Danses pour le Temps Présent offer a luminous continuation to the dramatic Notre-Dame Resurrection Symphony, born on the great organ of Saint-Louis-en-l’Île during Nuit Blanche 2024.
Organist and composer Benjamin Viaud has been crafting original Nuit Blanche programs for more than a decade. From Philip Glass to Astor Piazzolla, from scores by Ennio Morricone or Georges Delerue to his own works, he explores an eclectic repertoire to lure an increasingly curious audience.
In partnership with the Association of the Great Organs of Saint-Louis in l'Ile.
