Paris is in party mode: this Saturday, June 6, 2026, Nuit Blanche is back for its 25th edition in Paris and the Île-de-France region. This major annual cultural flagship spots contemporary art in all its guises, turning the capital and the surrounding towns into an open-air museum.
What better way to celebrate contemporary art than by spending this Nuit Blanche in a museum dedicated to this movement? MAC VAL, the Musée d'Art Contemporain du Val-de-Marne, welcomes us this evening for a free nocturne full of surprises. We look forward to seeing you on June 1 in Vitry-sur-Seine, a stone's throw from tramway line 9.
The museum offers a variety of events for the general public, to rediscover contemporary art and the French and international artists of the moment. This Nuit Blanche is an opportunity to admire new installations and performances, and to broaden our vision of the art world. Prepare to be surprised!
Step by step, the youngest visitors and their chaperones take ownership of the museum, noticing the colors, shapes, and patterns. Guided by our speakers, these tours let us see things together, share words, and put our emotions into words.
Embark on a journey through an extraordinary exhibition where the study of life, knowledge, and the cosmos gives rise to photographic and poetic imagery.
“Histoires Manquantes,” a stage piece at the heart of the museum’s exhibition.
The Lemon fracas company in collaboration with Sigrid Carré-Lecoindre and Agathe de Courcy.
Based on the words of children from families that are underrepresented—reimagined, single-parent, and affected by transitions, disability, or neurodiversity—“Histoires Manquantes” gives eight intimate, funny and powerful tales about the nature of connection and love. These stories come to life in a musical kamishibai (Japanese paper theatre), carried by two performer-narrators and a handful of instruments. An immersive, light and modular format that celebrates diverse journeys and offers children stories to see themselves in, to imagine, and to build themselves with.
A program from Théâtre Jean Vilar of Vitry-sur-Seine, hosted by MAC VAL.
At the heart of this performance lies a fundamental question: can our technological objects—and even the artificial intelligence that now animates them—be cared for so as to be reintegrated into a living cycle?
Santiago Reyes envisions a continuous cry to be produced in front of the museum. This cry, initially solitary and still, grows into a collective, mobile shout, reminding us of our impulse for embodied expression. It guides the audience to the Jean-Collet Municipal Gallery for the rest of the program.
Starting from the museum forecourt and arriving at the Jean-Collet Municipal Gallery.
An evening of art and the unexpected, not to be missed if you happen to be in the Val-de-Marne!
