Every year, Parisians and residents of Île-de-France come together for a string of major events: the European Heritage Days, the Music Day, the year-end celebrations, and the Asian New Year. For art lovers, one date stands out above all: Saturday, June 6, 2026, the day of the next Nuit Blanche in Paris and Île-de-France.
Nuit Blanche is a cultural event not to be missed: every year, hundreds of exhibitions, performances, concerts and shows take over the capital. Museums, streets, parks, banks of the Seine, theaters, even churches: art is everywhere! Yes, even in the city's gymnasiums.
The proof: this Saturday, June 6, the gymnase Saint-Germain also folds into an ephemeral art gallery. Nestled in the heart of the Latin Quarter, the venue usually hosts tennis or badminton players. For one night, it’s contemporary-art fans and partygoers who take over, for a memorable evening. Here’s what awaits you there.
Installation
Touch of Winds is an immersive installation that makes the random movements of air perceptible. Two sheets of conductive metallic fabric drift freely through the space, animated by the wind. When they touch, an electric current is generated and triggers a sound and light composition.
The work also takes the form of a collaboration with French musician Delawhere. He will perform semi-improvised pieces in dialogue with the installation, with 15-minute performances every hour.
At the crossroads of sound art and kinetic installation, Touch of Winds offers a dramaturgy of breath, shaped by anticipation and fleeting encounters.
Vincent de Malherbe is a French contemporary artist exploring interaction and sound.
He is a co-founder and member of the artist collective Can Touch This. Can Touch This is a collective of artists creating multisensory experiences at the intersection of art and technology. Working at the crossroads of immersive installation, sound design, and performance, the group designs interactions that invite audiences to feel, react and connect.
Continue this evening of madness in the center of Paris.
