Star Trek Beyond, the third installment of the Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto–led reboot, arrives on Netflix on October 16, 2026. Directed by Justin Lin, the film sends the Enterprise crew to an unknown planet after a devastating attack.
During a rescue operation, the USS Enterprise falls into a trap laid by Krall, a ruthless foe bent on striking the Federation. The ship is destroyed and its crew are scattered across Altamid, with no immediate way off the planet.
As Kirk, Spock, McCoy and the rest of the crew struggle to regroup, some of them encounter Jaylah, a seasoned fighter who knows the terrain and is also trying to flee Krall's forces.
Directed by Justin Lin and written by Doug Jung and Simon Pegg, Star Trek Beyond hit French cinemas in 2016. The film brings together Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg and Anton Yelchin. Idris Elba stars as Krall, while Sofia Boutella portrays Jaylah.
The feature film is the third chapter in the revival kicked off by Star Trek in 2009, following Star Trek Into Darkness. J.J. Abrams, who directed the first two installments, stays on as producer here.
Released in the year of the franchise's 50th anniversary, created by Gene Roddenberry, the film also pays tribute to Leonard Nimoy, the iconic interpreter of Spock who passed away in 2015.
Star Trek Beyond will be available on Netflix starting from October 16, 2026.
