Each summer, the Château d'Écouen — National Museum of the Renaissance offers warm, family-friendly evenings focused on cinema, with its outdoor screenings. Discover the free films shown on August 21 and 22, 2026.

Do you know why summer is movie lovers' favorite season? Admittedly, holidays give us more time to head to the cinema. Yes, many studios seize the moment to roll out their summer releases and blockbusters. But what we love most about this season are the numerous outdoor cinemas that sprout up all over, in Paris and the Île-de-France region!

Every summer, in museums, swimming pools, parks and gardens, on rooftop terraces and in monuments, film screenings are organized at nightfall, for a magical experience. Château d'Ecouen - musée national de la Renaissance, for example, organizes open-air screenings on its grounds during the warmer months of the year.

Animated films, action movies, comedies, cinema classics, fantasy films: the family-friendly lineup should please both kids and adults, and leave lasting memories for all visitors. By the way, did you hear that it’s free? The Château d'Écouen has thought of everything to give us a wonderful summer! On August 21 and 22, 2026, the monument invites us to an outdoor cinema session under the stars.

Please note that while this event is free of charge, it is accessible by reservation only. So don't miss out on any of these cinema evenings.
