Les Traîtres is back sooner than expected on M6! Following Adil Rami's victory last May, season 5 of Éric Antoine's phenomenal game show will make its comeback on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at 9:10pm. This new edition promises to be revolutionary, with the introduction of three mysterious masked players and a particularly varied cast combining politics, entertainment and sport.
From Saturday September 6, the channel will switch to Saturdays, broadcasting two episodes of the entertainment show from 9:10pm. The objective is clear: to capitalize on the brand's success, particularly with strategic targets, to boost its weakest evening of the week.
Château de Bournel, in the Doubs region of France, once again plays host to this psychological battle where loyalists and traitors clash in a sumptuous neo-Gothic setting. This private estate, already the setting for the previous season, sees some of its unexplored rooms finally reveal their secrets.
Season 5's cast features 16 personalities from very different worlds:
Season 5 introduces a major revolution with the arrival of three masked players whose identities and roles remain completely secret. These mysterious figures will greet the candidates as soon as they arrive at the estate, and could upset all the established rules.
The production promises new rules, unpredictable twists and terrifying games orchestrated by a more Machiavellian Éric Antoine than ever. Even the traditional nomination ceremony will take on a totally unexpected dimension, pushing the players to their limits.
The tests will take place in rooms of the castle never before explored, adding a dimension of the unknown to this already intense psychological battle. The enchanting yet menacing atmosphere of Bournel Castle promises moments of high tension.
Since the show's launch in 2022, the traitors have never lost a single game. David Douillet and Clémence Castel in season 1, Juju Fitcats in season 2, Laurent Ruquier and Hugo Manos in season 3, and Adil Rami in season 4 have all triumphed as the manipulators.
This unwavering domination by the traitors creates a particular expectation for season 5. Could the new rules and the introduction of masked players finally allow the loyalists to turn things around? The stakes remain high, with a jackpot to be won for the association of their choice.
The previous season recorded the lowest ratings in the program's history, with an average of 1.54 million viewers, compared with 2.10 million for the first season. M6 is therefore banking on this revolutionary edition to revive the momentum of this now cult game show.
Join us on M6 from September 2, 2025 to find out whether season 5 will finally mark the end of the traitors' reign, or whether their hegemony will continue in the face of this explosive cast and mysterious new rules.
