The release date for Top Chef 2026 has finally been announced! The most renowned culinary competition in television history is returning on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at 9:10 p.m. on M6. Fans can look forward to seeing a panel featuring Hélène Darroze, Stéphanie Le Quellec, Philippe Etchebest, Paul Pairet, and Glenn Viel, while an array of star chefs will once again serve as judges for the challenges.
And this 17th season promises to be full of surprises! Indeed, the producers revealed during their traditional press conference that they will be ending the brigade system, a format that has been a staple of the show for many years: "While the goal is to identify which talent can adapt to any environment and meet any challenge, we want to re-empower the contestants by focusing on their own kitchens, their skills, their style, their unique signature. This year, they will face the challenge on their own and present their cuisine directly to the jury, showcasing their adaptability wherever we take them."
Another major change this year: the iconic filming studio is no more. Instead, the 17th season was shot across a variety of locations throughout France — from the Abbaye de Collonges-au-Mont-d’Or to the Touquet, passing through Tignes, Amiens, and even the Château de Fontainebleau.
Join us every Wednesday starting March 4, 2026 to celebrate the 17th season of Top Chef!
