The town of Issy-les-Moulineaux now boasts a must-visit destination in the Île-de-France region! Les Halles d'Issy Biltoki is a gourmet spot that combines a food market with restaurants offering eat-in and takeaway options.
Created in 1884 by Gustave Eiffel, five years after the construction of our beloved Eiffel Tower, LesHalles d'Issy-les-Moulineaux witnessed the industrialization of the city in the 19th century. After falling into disrepair, the Issy market halls are now enjoying a new lease of life thanks to their renovation and the opening of alarge food market within them.
The business is run by Biltoki, a Basque company whose ambition is to create market halls in cities that don't have them, but also to renovateold market halls that have fallen into disuse over the years. This new food market covers more than 1,000 square meters and is dedicated to the food industry.
On the agenda: 20 stalls run by local artisans and merchantsin a friendly and authentic setting in the heart of the Paris metropolitan area. This covered market is home to a Biltoki café, market cuisine, caterers, and merchants—a bakery, greengrocer, cheese shop, fishmonger, oyster bar, delicatessen, butcher, rotisserie, and wine merchant. You can find fresh, local, and seasonal products at the Bistrot d'Elo.
