For over 15 years, the Paris Chinese Film Festival has been presenting a panorama of Chinese cinema, both contemporary and older. For its 16th edition, the Paris Chinese Film Festival takes place from May 26 to June 14, 2025, in several cinemas and cultural venues in the capital.
Each year, the festival unveils a rich and diverse program, featuring works that French audiences have never had the chance to discover, previews of recent films, works by little-known auteurs, rare gems of animation, and heritage films in ciné-concerts.
This year, screenings of some 15 films will take place at Les 7 Parnassiens, in the 14th arrondissement, and at Pathé Les Fauvettes, in the 13th arrondissement. The opening night will be held on May 26 at 8pm at Le Balzac cinema, in the 8th arrondissement.
Not-to-be-missed events at the festival include short-film programs on June 11 and 12, as well as two colloquia at the China Cultural Center: "Reflections on theatrical screening of short films" and "Film & Artificial Intelligence: Franco-Chinese dialogue on innovation in the film industry" on June 13.
