A fragile silhouette, hands that dance like scissors, poetry at the edge of a blade… Edward Scissorhands is poised to come back to life in a venue that fits him: the Grand Rex. And this time, the tale isn’t just to be watched — it’s to be heard, felt, and shaped live.

Saturday, March 20, 2027 at 8:30 p.m., the Tim Burton masterpiece unfolds in a cine-concert version for the first time in France. On stage, 75 musicians from the Yellow Socks Orchestra bring to life Danny Elfman’s spellbinding score, performed live and in sync with the screening (VOSTFR). A genre specialist since 2017, the Yellow Socks Orchestra, led by Nicolas Simon, has already resonated with Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings, and La La Land, and once again promises an immersion as immersive as the film itself.
Thirty-seven years after its release, Edward's story — portrayed by Johnny Depp — remains as fragile and moving as ever. A half-finished creature with scissors for hands, he tries to find his place in a world that's too polished, until he meets Kim, played by Winona Ryder.
Straddling gothic poetry and enchantment, Edward Scissorhands will come alive as a musical at the Grand Rex in March 2027.
