Dark Night: Batman’s 90th anniversary celebrated with a symphonic spectacular at the Grand Rex in 2028

Batman is set to take the stage at the Grand Rex on Saturday, October 7, 2028 for Dark Night – 90 Years of Batman. Only Once is staging an original, scripted production that blends film score, actors, and special effects to immerse audiences in Gotham City.

The organizers announced 80 musicians and 40 choristers. The program will draw from the scores written for the Dark Knight adventures by Danny Elfman, Hans Zimmer, James Newton Howard and Michael Giacchino.

The evening centers on an orchestral performance and staging designed specifically for this production. Giant-screen imagery, actors, and special effects will accompany the music, rather than a full-film projection with a live accompaniment.

In addition to the performance, Only Once also unveils an exhibit of costumes and props, Batmobiles, set pieces, meet-and-greets and cosplay. The title Dark Night, echoing the sound of Dark Knight, nods to this plunge into Gotham’s night.

The show is set to run from 8:00 PM to 10:30 PM, with two hours on stage and a 30-minute intermission. Tickets are priced from €49 to €99, at the Grand Rex, 1 Boulevard Poissonnière, in Paris’s 2nd arrondissement. The venue notes accessibility for people with reduced mobility.
