Diary of a Wimpy Kid Christmas: Cabin Fever, a chaotic holiday season on Disney+

Greg Heffley trades snow for palm trees in Diary of a Wimpy Kid Christmas: Every Man for Himself. Disney+ has announced that the family animated comedy will premiere on December 4, 2026. In the film, an impromptu trip to an island throws the Heffley family’s holiday plans into disarray.

Greg’s parents have booked an all-inclusive getaway in the hope of getting some rest. Their son, less than thrilled about going, soon discovers that the hotel’s schedule and the unexpected twists of the trip leave little room for peace and quiet.

This fifth animated film based on Jeff Kinney’s books changes the holiday setting. In Diary of a Wimpy Kid Christmas: Cabin Fever, released in 2023, a snowstorm kept the Heffleys cooped up at home. Matt Danner directs this new adventure, written and produced by Kinney. Jacob Isaac Peterson voices Greg in the original version.
