In the escape game category, Epsilon Escape's The Patient in Room 8 is a strange phenomenon that puts our nerves to the test. This adventure, which can be attempted in teams of 3 to 5, puts us in the shoes of patients locked up in a particular psychiatric hospital. One patient, the patient in Room 8, managed to escape thanks to Professor Edmond Epsilon, who was fired for opposing mysterious treatment methods.
Are you beginning to understand? Now it's your turn, and before you suffer the cruelty of the doctors, you'll have to find a way to escape from this virtually empty cell in less than 70 minutes, using pastel crayons and the directions of the fugitive patient (who was crazy!) and pass through the supervisors' office unnoticed.
This adventure, conceived by two gaming pros, Florent Steiner and Guillaume Natas (game designer), is very well put together and impresses us with the quality of its storytelling and game mechanics (we can't tell you too much about it, but we're locked in a padded room with just our bed and a TV, condemned to listen to the neighbors in adjacent rooms screaming and breathing strangely), a frightening experience !
The riddle was such a success (we were spotted before we could get out, and tried to knock out the supervisor), that the two accomplices will soon be taking us back to two other key moments surrounding the mysterious Professor Edmond Epsilon, riddles that can be solved by up to 10 people for a competition (2 teams of 5 at the same time, thanks to two identical rooms) and be the subject of a big party (birthday or team building) thanks to the 110m² reception room upstairs.
Really immersive, we were won over by the world of the asylum, which really lends itself to the escape game experience, and we can't wait to relive the experience!
