Already available on PS5 since 2021, this DLC is also coming soon to PC and Xbox Series, with a release date set for January 22, 2026. This expansion promises to further enrich the world of Final Fantasy VII Remakeand offer a new experience for fans of the legendary saga.

"The new episode dedicated to Yuffie is a brand-new adventure in the world of FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE. Play as Yuffie, a Wutai shinobi who infiltrates Midgar with the help of Avalanche's main branch in order to steal an ultimate materia created by the Shinra. Play alongside new characters and discover a gameplay experience enriched by new combat and gameplay elements. With its arrival on Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade introduces a new feature designed to make the game more accessible:"Game Aids". This exclusive option grants players several advantages, such as extra MP and HP, always-full battle gauges, the ability to inflict massive attacks of up to 9,999 points of damage, and faster learning of weapon skills. Enough to allow everyone to enjoy the story and combat without constraint.
At the same time, Square Enix has set up limited offers for those who reserve their copy in advance. On Switch 2, Xbox Series and PC, all digital pre-orders come with a download of the original Final Fantasy VII, available from January 22, 2026 for Nintendo gamers. The offer ends on January 31, 2026. As for the physical editions, a Magic: The Gathering - Final Fantasy booster pack is included (while stocks last), containing 15 random cards that will undoubtedly appeal to collectors and fans of the saga.
This redesigned chapter is aimed primarily at J-RPG fans, those nostalgic for the original saga and all those looking for an emotionally rich cinematic adventure. Thanks to its modernized graphics and strategic combat, the title is also an ideal gateway to the Final Fantasy VII universe.
On the other hand, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is less suited to players looking for fast-paced, competitive or multiplayer-centric experiences. Above all, this remake remains a dense, immersive narrative adventure, requiring time, patience and a marked taste for epic tales.

During a visit to Paris Games Week, we stopped by the Bandai booth to check out Final Fantasy Remake VII on the Nintendo console (which distributes the Square Enix game on Switch 2). Story-wise, there's nothing new, as the demo lets you experience the very beginning of the game.
Graphically speaking, it's interesting: fairly smooth on the Switch 2, the game plays quite easily, even if it's far from perfect. It's not quite PS5 quality... but the work is very high quality, and the Switch 2 is a great platform for this hit game. That said, it's not revolutionary either.
This software should therefore be of interest to console owners looking to discover THIS video game hit.
For lucky PS5 owners, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade has been available since June 10, 2021.
