Story mode invites us to complete this heroic quest, while Team Mission mode allows players to explore the city, join training sessions, or complete missions. Finally, Flashback mode lets you relive your favorite moments from the original series, so you can prolong the fun.
Many playable characters are available: you can choose from professional heroes, super villains, or high school students.
The battles in this installment are played in teams of 3 vs. 3: each character also has their Alter, which must be used wisely to gain the upper hand over your opponent. You can easily switch between fighters, which is a handy way to save your character's life and keep your team going.
We were able to briefly test this game thanks to a demo presented during Paris Games Week 2025. We weren't able to see the story mode, but we did test several fights. You can freely choose your favorite characters, then jump right into the action: the fight. The arena is large, perhaps a little too large.
With the characters' powers, opponents are often propelled far away from us. We also can't see the other team members during the fight, and the action happens too quickly to get a clear view of what's going on. To avoid blows, we can jump and dodge. The problem is that the game then quickly turns into an open-air fight, or a chase after your opponent, who keeps escaping by jumping everywhere...
To master the combat, you'll need to practice a little. Story mode remains the main feature of this game. For fans of the franchise, this installment is a must-have, the end of a thrilling story...
