Despite Forspoken's setbacks, Square Enix and Luminous Productions are not abandoning ship, and on March 29, 2023 announced on Twitter a release date for the long-awaited DLC, In Tanta We Trust, available from May 26 on PS5 and PC, with early access from May 23 forDeluxe Edition owners. This additional content will act as a prequel, plunging players 25 years back in time, before the events of Forspoken, on a quest to save Athia.
In Tanta We Trust, Frey Holland and Tanta Cinta exploreAthia 's past and attempt to save a world devastated by the legendary battle of the Rheddigs. Players will discover new skills, new combat strategies and devastating combo attacks. Square Enix also promises more vertically-oriented environments, offering a renewed gameplay experience. Despite criticism and the commercial failure of Forspoken, which led to the closure of Luminous Productions, the Japanese publisher hopes to give fans something to cheer about with this expansion.
In Tanta We Trust represents a final chance for Forspoken to win over gamers and restore its image. Fans will be able to judge for themselves the quality of this DLC from May 26 on PS5 and PC, while owners of theDeluxe Edition will benefit from early access from May 23, 2023.
