Sims 4 Ranch Life: cowboys and horses gallop into an expansion pack

Since the early years of the game, horses have been much sought-after by players. Over the past few days, rumors have been spreading on social networks, giving hope to budding riders. The rumors have now been confirmed: horses will be arriving in The Sims 4 on July 20, with the next expansion pack, Life on the Ranch. And they're not coming alone...

A trailer, posted on YouTube on June 22, 2023, reveals a new expansion pack for the popular life simulation game. We're transported to the American West, to the land of cowboys. New town, new activities, new culture, and above all: new animals! Horses finally arrive in our homes, along with miniature goats and sheep.

The Sims 4 Ranch Life synopsis:

" Welcome to Chestnut Ridge, a rustic world inspired by the wide open spaces of the iconic American West. This picturesque world is ideal for waking up in the morning and admiring the vast countryside from the ranch of your dreams, whether it's a traditional cabin or a modern farmhouse. Get the whole family involved! And when we say family, we also mean horses! Sims welcome horses into their families and take care of every aspect of their lives. Each animal makes its own contribution to the ranch (even if it's just being adorable). "

A whole new world awaits us in this DLC, a world of arid wilderness, surrounded by wide canyons to explore. This pack lets you create your own ranch, take care of your animals, live in a community, create your own nectar... In the trailer, we see various elements linked to American and Native American culture: country dancing, a saloon, as well as decorative objects, food and clothing linked to native cultures.

Horses are, of course, the central element of this package. They're as much a part of the household as cats and dogs: they too can be created in CAS, and personalized. They have their own character traits and skills. You can also train your horses in different disciplines, and teach your Sims to ride.
