What if Assassin's Creed Black Flag were to get a remake after the release of Mirage? It's the rumor of the moment that's shaking up the video game world. We take stock!

When rumors can be as exciting as reality, especially when it comes toAssassin's Creed... According to our colleagues at Kotaku, a potential remake ofAssassin's Creed IV: Black Flag could be in development at Ubisoft. If true, this news is sure to delight fans of the saga!

According to Ubisoft, the project is still in its infancy and is not expected to see the light of day for several years. Ubisoft Singapore, known for having contributed to the original, in particular for the boat phases, is said to be at the heart of this modernization project. While we await official confirmation from Ubisoft, this information should be taken with extreme caution.

Ubisoft, famous for its strategy centered on the Assassin's Creed franchise, has numerous projects around the franchise planned for the future. Should the Black Flag remake be confirmed, it would fit perfectly into this strategy. Fans are eagerly awaiting Mirage, but there are other Assassin's Creed projects in the pipeline, six of which have already been confirmed. Among them, Assassin's Creed Codename Red, developed by Ubisoft Québec and set in feudal Japan, looks set to be the saga's next flagship opus after Mirage.

Other projects include Hexe, produced by Ubisoft Montreal, set towards the end of the Holy Roman Empire in a witch-hunting atmosphere, and Assassin's Creed Codename Jade, a mobile multiplayer experience set in China. A final title for iOS and Android, in collaboration with Netflix, is also in production.

As a reminder, Assassin's Creed Black Flag follows the adventures ofEdward Kenway, grandfather of Connor Kenway discovered in the third installment, in the heyday of Caribbean piracy. An opus that smells of gunpowder and wooden legs, one of the most popular of the entire video-game saga. Fingers crossed!
