An eagerly anticipated new fantasy universe is on its way to consoles and PC... Crimson Desert is an open-world action-adventure game developed by the South Korean studio Pearl Abyss. Scheduled for release on March 26, 2026, it will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series. The game promises an immersive experience focused on exploring a vast fantasy world, featuring real-time combat and a storytelling approach with cinematic ambitions — positioning it as a major, ambitious project for both consoles and PC.

After months of anticipation since the Summer Game Fest, the game finally made another appearance during the September 2025 PlayStation State of Play with an official trailer. And good news for gamers: Crimson Desert has gone gold, ensuring its release will not be delayed beyond the announced date.

Synopsis of Crimson Desert:

"Dive into the heart of the continent of Pywel, torn apart by an unprecedented war for power. Face countless challenges and dangers, as the beginnings of the catastrophe that threatens Pywel begin to manifest themselves. To save the continent of Pywel from the impending catastrophe, the Grey Manes are waging fierce battles. Despite all the adversity they have to face, they relentlessly pursue their epic quest to accomplish their mission".

Since it was first announced in 2020, the software has continued to arouse curiosity. We follow the story of Kliff, the protagonist, in the region of Hernand, on the continent of Pywel. On the agenda: mystical creatures and hidden treasures. The game borrows from iconic titles such as the last two Zelda games for its freedom of action, Final Fantasy XVI for its aesthetics and graphics, and Elden Ring for its worthy confrontations. Whether duels, battles against large groups of enemies or confrontations with bosses, players will be constantly challenged by a variety of mechanics.
