An unprecedented challenge awaits the employees and students of La Défense: League of Defense, the unusual, solidarity-based sports tournament, takes up residence on the forecourt from September 16 to 18, 2025. For three days, local companies and schools will come together to transform the esplanade into a huge arena of offbeat games, combining competition, conviviality and charitable commitment.
Organized by Paris La Défense, League of Defense combines sport, challenges and solidarity, and is aimed at both employees and students of the famous business district. And at the heart of the competition is a noble cause: to support the work of the Restos du Cœur des Hauts-de-Seine, since all proceeds from registration will be donated to the association.
On the program: an explosive cocktail of activities, each more original than the last... Imagine companies and students taking part in a curling match of office chairs, or plunging into the heart of a human foosball table. Participants will also take part in a file relay race.
The goal? To win the ultimate trophy, a golden mug, the symbol of victory and glory in this tournament like no other. But beyond the competition, League of Defense is intended to be a moment of sharing, where students and professionals can exchange ideas, meet each other and, above all, have fun together.
Between the sporting and strategic challenges, participants and spectators (not necessarily from local businesses, it's open to all, even you!) will also have the opportunity to enjoy a variety ofactivities, including live concerts, giant karaoke, a blind test and themed evenings. These events are open to all, free of charge, for a festive end-of-summer experience.
The very first edition of this event was held in early October 2024, and was attended for an evening: on the competitive side, each participating local company and school competed in challenges of varying degrees of zaniness. It's dynamic, and we enjoy cheering on the teams in sporting challenges such as soccer, dodgeball, a scooter race or a blind race, and the food area, while small, is pretty cool.
We really appreciated the Red Cross area, which offers first-aid workshops, and more specifically how to perform cardiac massage on a mannequin. It's free and saves lives! We also really enjoyed the entertainment on offer for onlookers, in particular the blind test, with a very fun and authentic hostess. We even learned a few tricks!
On the other hand, the cold got the better of us, forcing us to leave before the DJ set, but there's no doubt that the evening ended on a high note, concluding the evening in the best possible way. So if you're passing through La Défense, don't hesitate to drop in!
So, whether you're a fierce competitor or just looking for a moment of relaxation and fun (or if you're coming to support a loved one or enjoy the entertainment), League of Defense awaits you for what promises to be a memorable day. Ready to have some fun, folks?
