From September 11, 2025, until the game's release, you can test a demo of Digimon Story Time Stranger on consoles and PC. Players will discover the beginning of this story: this game data can be transferred once the title is officially released. So players won't have to start from the beginning.
The demo also offers access to the Adventure Trial Mode in Central Town, to explore the world of Iliad a little further. Please note that progress made in this mode will not be taken into account when the game is fully available.

Our Review of Digimon Story: Time Stranger
We had the chance to try out the game for 20 minutes on PS5 during a preview event.
The adventure kicks off at a slow pace: initially, the story background frequently interrupts the action, making the early gameplay somewhat frustrating. The world is vast and rich in detail, yet strangely feels empty at the same time.
The game guides players very closely, which makes it accessible for younger audiences. Battles unfold in turn-based fashion, with a straightforward mechanics that has been tried and tested many times before.
Thanks to its storyline, this edition of Digimon serves as a great entry point for newcomers eager to explore the franchise. For fans, it offers a fresh twist on the Digimon lore, making it equally enjoyable. The latter part of the story, which we didn't have time to explore, promises to be more complex and layered — so sticking with it and delving deeper is definitely worth it.
The game is polished, meticulously crafted, and smooth to play, though it may lack a bit of soul or surprise, in our opinion. Still, it stands as a solid, reliable title for genre enthusiasts.
