Join the Digimon in a new adventure, with Bandai Namco's Digimon Story Time Stranger. Your journey begins on October 3, 2025 on PS5, Xbox Series and PC. In the meantime, try out the game's demo.

You probably remember Digimon, the "digital monsters" originally derived from Tamagotchis. Animated series, films, manga, toys, cards: these creatures multiplied in the 1990s and 2000s. Of course, they're also to be found in our video games, particularly on PS5, Xbox Series and PC, with a new title unveiled on February 13, 2025.

From October 3, 2025, get ready for adventure with Digimon Story Time Stranger, an RPG from Bandai Namco. Save the world from destruction, cross universes and time with your Digimon, and put an end to chaos!

From September 11, 2025, until the game's release, you can test a demo of Digimon Story Time Stranger on consoles and PC. Players will discover the beginning of this story: this game data can be transferred once the title is officially released. So players won't have to start from the beginning.

The demo also offers access to the Adventure Trial Mode in Central Town, to explore the world of Iliad a little further. Please note that progress made in this mode will not be taken into account when the game is fully available.

The new trailer for Digimon Story Time Stranger:

Digimon Story Time Stranger synopsis:

" Digimon Story Time Stranger is a role-playing game in which you can train your own team of Digimon and fight alongside them. Learn more about the ties that bind humans and Digimon in an epic, touching adventure to unravel the mystery behind the apocalypse threatening the world. Players take on the role of Dan Yuki or Kanan Yuki, ADAMAS agents propelled into the past who must save the digital world from the threat of the Titans and protect the human world from terrible repercussions. Set off on a journey that will take you beyond the borders of the human world and the Digimonde. Meet and evolve numerous Digimon and train them to fight thrilling turn-based battles."

This mystery-filled trailer reveals a threat that intertwines parallel universes. With the help of the Digimon, players must find the source of this chaos and put an end to it.

This fantasy RPG takes us on various quests across a vast world to explore. The turn-based battles require a bit of strategy and a good use of each monster's personal talents to triumph. Cultivate your relationship with your Digimon to improve your combat performance.

Our test of Digimon Story Time Stranger:

We were able to test the game for 20 minutes on PS5, during a preview event.

The adventure gets off to a slow start: at first, the contextualization of the story regularly cuts off the action, making the first moments of play a little frustrating. The world is vast and full of detail, but at the same time feels empty.

The player is given plenty of guidance, making the game accessible to younger players. Combat is turn-based, following a simple, tried-and-tested mechanic.

Thanks to its scenario, this Digimon opus is a good entry point for neophytes wishing to discover the license. For fans, the game brings a new twist to the Digimon lore, and can therefore be enjoyed just as much. The second part of the story, which we didn't have time to discover, promises to be more complex and profound: the game is therefore worth persevering with and exploring at greater length.

The game is clean, well-worked and fluid, but lacks a little soul or surprise for our taste. It remains a solid, reliable title for fans of the genre.

Digimon Story Time Stranger allows us to explore the original Digimon world, deepening the saga's history and lore. Ready for a journey full of surprises?
