Great Fortnite, just the way we like it! After a Star Wars season that ended on a high note with an end-of-season event featuring the infiltration and destruction of theDeath Star, it's time for something new... And so begins Season 3 of Chapter 6 of Epic Games' signature Battle Royale, dubbed Fortnite Super, from June 7 to August 8, 2025 on PC and consoles, including Nintendo Switch 2.
This new season introduces a superhero universe in which players must train at theSupernova Academy to face Daigo, the mask-maker, who draws his strength from the depths of the island. The game features hero rank progression and redesigned combat mechanics revolving around special powers and heroic deeds.
New features start with a new map! The Fortnite Super map introduces three major new points of interest. TheSupernova Academy, a training center for recruits with special abilities. It's here that players can learn to wield their powers and access the tech lab to unlock new items.
Then there's Utopia, a luxurious, peaceful zone containing a wealth of resources and battlefields. And last but not least, the Demonic Domain, which serves as Daigo' s base: this hostile place is home to his henchmen and the ideal testing ground for his fighting skills. In short, three new zones to explore!
Here, too, there's nothing new: each player starts at rank C at the beginning of the game. By completing certain objectives (eliminations, survival, specific quests), they can progress to S+ rank, with no cache, but with a full set of blessings.
At each level, a cache of heroes is unlocked, with loot and weapons of increasing power. The progression system is shared by groups, encouraging cooperation. A whole new levelling dynamic, then, but one that doesn't change anything in relation to the combat pass, since you'll still be gaining levels, unlocking rewards.
The Fortnite Super Battle Pass is not to be outdone either, as it includes a whole host of free rewards and bonuses, from skins and back accessories to pickaxes and emotes. By earning EXP in any Fortnite experience, players can unlock cosmetic items.
The Pass's skins include Robin, Batman 's famous sidekick (and member of the Teen Titans), who is directly accessible with his purchase. Other made-in-Fortnite heroes complete the lore, including Storm Beast, Ziggy, Synthwave, Killswitch, Lightryder and Morgan Myst.
Another skin, to be unlocked later in the season (from July 11), is that of Superman, from the James Gunn film. A skin available in the store, along with a certain level shadow, for those willing to spend 1,500 V-Bucks. Note that the Battle Pass is available for 1,000 V-bucks or via the Fortnite Club.
On the weapons front, the season introduces several new ones, such as the ultrarafal pistol, the relentless sniper rifle, and unstable exotic weapons available in high-ranking caches. Robin's megalithic rifle and grapple launcher are also back. These new items join an array of hero items, such as Myst's gauntlets, Killswitch's revolvers and the Bass Wave.
And that's what makes this season so interesting: each hero item offers its own specific gameplay. For example, the Tracking Visor allows you to analyze the battlefield, while the Bass Wave destroys structures and repels opponents. Some items, such as the Surfer Cube or Storm Beast's Pompoms, will arrive later in the season. Players can also obtain skill-enhancing blessings based on their rank.
A new Twitch event offers cosmetic items for watching streams until June 16. Krypto's treat summons Superman's dog to inflict massive damage. Finally, the Street and Superman spirits replace the Air and Water spirits, bringing new mechanics to the field.
