PERMANENTLY CLOSED - Can’t get enough of Sherlock Holmes’ adventures? Is Benjamin Gates your hero? Do you secretly dream of living out their adventures? Live escape games are for you! These cooperative games, which require impeccable logic and lightning-fast reflexes, are springing up around the world and are starting to make serious inroads in our capital.
Mystery Escape is the capital’s latest escape game, featuring its first puzzle, “Mystery of the Manor”, which takes us to a manor house... Locked in a room with a spirit, we have one hour to get out! In teams of 3 to 5 players, you’ll need to put your heads together to have any hope of escaping the manor alive: with speed, logic and creativity, this live escape game will bring out your full potential.
With family, friends, and even colleagues, Mystery Escape has a knack for bringing people closer together; you’re promised moments of collective panic, moments of joy and stress as you uncover clues, and, depending on your results, cheers of joy when you solve the puzzle.
While the timer ramps up the adrenaline, here a progress bar shows us how far we’ve got with the puzzle. A game master also steps in to help if they see we’re in danger, interacting with the team like a guardian angel.
For us, the stress was intense, because we got out with just 15 seconds to go! A terrifying moment of panic sent a chill down our spines, as we thought we’d never get out before finding the answer at the very last moment... You should know that 50% of teams don’t make it out (what happens to them?), and the record is around 55 minutes.
A word of advice: choose your team carefully, because live escape games are a one-shot experience: once you’ve played, you can’t go back! (Well, yeah, you know the puzzle, so it’s not as fun anymore.)
You should expect to pay between €22 and €32, depending on the number of participants and the time slot you choose, but we can’t recommend this experience highly enough. So, can you rise to the challenge and enter this haunted mansion?
