The Latin Quarter has its own gaming hotspots, too. Around Saint-Michel and Cardinal Lemoine, and as far as Odéon, several venues welcome groups by reservation for an escape room, a walking investigation or a gaming experience. In this part of Paris’s 5th and 6th arrondissements, you can work together to complete a mission, challenge your friends to a quiz or take the wheel of a simulator.
For escape room enthusiasts, The Game has two locations: 51 rue du Cardinal-Lemoine and 6 rue de la Harpe. The company offers 60-minute missions, with a maximum of six players per room. Its scenarios include a heist, a subway train and a space mission. The goal is always a team effort: study the surroundings, share the clues you find and work together to make progress before time runs out.
The investigation can also continue outdoors. With ClueZ, the Les Alchimistes experience unfolds in the streets of the Latin Quarter. As the organizer explains, participants use a digital tablet to follow a story inspired by Nicolas Flamel and solve the puzzles along the way. The walk is part of the game: players have to look around and search for clues that will help with the investigation.
For an outing focused on competition, Sim Drivers offers racing simulators at 110 boulevard Saint-Germain, near Odéon. The center describes its equipment as being mounted on actuators, whose movements mirror the virtual driving experience. Nearby, Quiz Room Odéon, at 9 rue Guénégaud, brings groups together around buzzers and questions in a TV game-show set. The jokers add a strategic element to the game: knowing the answer isn’t always enough to hold on to the lead.
