At a time when everyone buys a bouquet of flowers the same way they order a home-delivered meal, it's nice to rediscover a boutique where people like to go to choose their flowers and decorative objects, or to relax over a cup of tea in the winter garden.
BOYA is the new floral concept store imagined by Yan Mao, an enthusiast who was surely born in a flower, so enchanted is she by everything to do with flowers. In her boutique, you'll find not only flowers and plants, but also a multitude of objects representing flowers. Vases, cards, candles and other original jewelry are all on offer.
The premises are on two floors. On the first floor is the boutique, beautifully decorated in a hushed atmosphere. In the middle of the aisle, you'll find a fine selection of flowers based not on the classics so often requested, but rather on the florist's own tastes. For example, BOYA often offers original and atypical flowers. At the far end of the aisle, vintage objects line up, while along the entrance, small succulents and selected objects stretch out their arms to us.
Upstairs is the winter garden, where the more imposing plants nestle. A deckchair and a small table are available for a short break, while you leaf through a floral art book and sip your tea.
In short, if you too love flowers, feel the urge to stroll or are looking for an original bouquet, BOYA could well be a good idea.
Please note that it's been over 4 years since our last visit, so the place and experience may have changed.
