One of Fashion Week's must-sees was the Paco Rabanne show. The neo-futurist label owes its origins to its eponymous creator, an avant-garde and visionary couturier nicknamed "the metallurgist of fashion". Following a course in architecture at the Beaux-Arts in Paris, Paco Rabanne began his transition to fashion by working for modernist fashion houses such as Balenciaga, Pierre Cardin and Courrèges.

In 1966, he unveiled his very first collection entitled "12 importable dresses in contemporary materials", pieces entirely assembled from sequins and rhodoid sheets. An innovative signature, translated into ultra-short couture weaves, with subtle plays on transparency. Futuristic fashion, complemented a few years later by a line of perfumes and men's ready-to-wear. From then on, the House experienced a succession of incredible events. In 1999, Paco Rabanne left the label to devote himself to writing. At the time, his apocalyptic predictions for the year 2000 caused quite a stir. In 2006, the House closed its doors, only to be revamped 7 years later with the arrival of new Artistic Director Julien Dossena.

Dossena breathes new life into the label, pursuing his quest for a contemporary aesthetic and an emancipating wardrobe, by revisiting iconic pieces from Paco Rabanne's couture heritage. The trapeze dress and the metal plate bag are still the stars of the catwalk today!
