And one of the must-see fashion moments? The show by Pierre Cardin, aka the architect of clothing, the visionary of style, the master of the future! Founded in 1950, his House revolutionized fashion with structured cuts and avant-garde materials. In 1954, he invented the bubble dress, and in 1959, he shocked haute couture by launching ready-to-wear in a department store - sacrilege then, genius now. His geometric silhouettes, spacey looks and love of new materials (hello vinyl!) made him a pioneer of galactic style, long before fashion flirted with science fiction. He revolutionized the industry by introducing the concept of licensing, putting his name on everything from clothes to furniture to iconic accessories.

After his death in 2020, the label passed into the hands of Rodrigo Basilicati-Cardin, the designer's nephew, without losing any of its visionary DNA. On March 6, 2024, a commemorative plaque was unveiled at the corner of rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré and avenue de Marigny, the emblematic location where the historic boutique reopened its doors. On the same day, the Maison presented its Autumn-Winter 2023-2024 collection, marking its official return to the Paris Fashion Week calendar.
