Designers, architects, decorators and rising talents are reclaiming the capital for Paris Design Week, running September 10–19, 2026. Launched in 2011 by Maison&Objet, the event takes design out of the showroom and plants it in around 400 Paris venues. Galleries, boutiques, cultural institutions and heritage sites become the backdrop for exhibitions, installations, open houses, workshops, tours, talks and roundtables. From furniture and interior architecture to decorative arts and graphic design, the disciplines mingle across neighborhoods, riding the wave of Maison&Objet Paris, with new names, know-how and trends in the mix.

This year, creativity visits the Grand Palais. Uchronia brings to life Le Grand Bouquet, a monumental installation and free to discover in the Rotonde du Palais d’Antin, from 11 to 20 September 2026 (excluding Mondays). A giant flower unfurls its petals as a celebration of joy, color, and imagination, with a clear stance: to let the work converse with the surrounding setting.
To give it shape, Uchronia draws directly on the Rotonde’s details. The floral motif of the floor mosaic, the vegetal mouldings and the venue’s circular lines shape the silhouette of The Grand Bouquet, which translates these elements on a large scale into a contemporary, oversized interpretation.

The installation spills out onto the forecourt, welcoming visitors as a threshold between the real and the imagined. The project even branches out into the Grand Palais's Design and Decorative Arts Shop, with a curated selection of objects, furniture and accessories drawn from the architecture studio’s world.
Uchronia is no stranger to Paris Design Week. The studio founded by Julien Sebban had already taken over the Cour d'honneur of the Hôtel de la Marine in 2024 with Day Bed, an XXL canopy bed perched on a ceramic platform.
After putting design to bed, Uchronia lets it bloom: a new backdrop at the Grand Palais, but the same playful conversation with the building’s architecture, now amplified by a profusion of petals.
