Paris Design Week 2026: the Caserne des Minimes' upcycling exhibition is drawing to a close.

Every year, the Paris Design Week turns Paris into a city-wide route devoted to contemporary design. Galleries, institutions, studios, shops, and heritage venues host exhibitions and installations that showcase emerging talents, craftsmanship, materials, and new ways of rethinking everyday objects. Often free, these experiences pull design out of showrooms and place it squarely in the city and in front of the public. Furniture, craft, innovation, and reuse intersect across the districts, with projects that both dazzle and inform about how objects are conceived and made. At the Caserne des Minimes, in the 3rd arrondissement, Marie-Ange Guilleminot flips the script on the wardrobe with Cintres et Paravents, un vestiaire mobile, a free exhibition crafted in collaboration with the Société Choletaise de Fabrication. Classic hangers, foldable models and screens are dressed with braids made from end-of-line textile, while some hangers even drift above the courtyard, suspended from tree to tree. The installation also shines a light on the work of Made by bobine, centered on upcycling and opening up employment for people with disabilities, with the participation of Lainamac.
