While the Salon de l'Escalade has been running for several years, it is entering its third edition in Paris at the Porte de Versailles, from January 15 to 17, 2027. Indoor, outdoor, on rock walls, bouldering, solo, with a rope, in the mountains, in the city, on natural or artificial terrain—these are as many ways to practice climbing, a sport on the rise that appeals to growing numbers across all generations.
For three days, whether you’re a beginner or expert climber, dive into a host of activities, roundtables, and on-site conferences.
Climbing in all its vertical grandeur will be showcased to the whole family, through books, challenges, activities, films, talks, artistic performances and debates, but also athletes you can meet or exhibition stands to discover industry products and the latest innovations.
The event also offers a chance to get hands-on with the abundance of temporary climbing walls to get beginners started, test gear, watch demonstrations, or compete to mingle with fellow enthusiasts, in a region that gathers the highest concentration of climbers in France—nearly 150 clubs, more than forty private gyms, and, of course, the Fontainebleau forest.
This edition also features a spotlight on the outdoors, with an immersive space dedicated to outdoor climbing: destinations, trips, initiatives and actors committed to preserving natural spaces. Ticket sales open on September 15, 2026.
