Good news for gourmands, gourmets, Sunday chefs and all those who love good food: the Taste of Paris festival returns to the historic Grand Palais, after a break in 2024 due to the Olympic Games and several editions in the ephemeral Grand Palais, from May 8 to 11, 2025.
Every year, some of Paris's finest chefs set up their ephemeral restaurants in a large festival open to all, to present their signature dishes, which can be tasted in small portions. Around thirty chefs are expected to take part each time. They include chefs from top restaurants, Michelin-starred chefs and chefs from Parisian palaces, as well as pastry chefs and former Top Chef contestants.
Taste of Paris returns to its historic setting for a much-anticipated anniversary edition. We're back to a two-part formula: daytime session (11:30am-4pm) and evening session (7pm-11:30pm). On the menu: affordable tastings (from €7 to €13), cooking classes, masterclasses, demonstrations and a gourmet market hosted by committed producers.
This year, visitors will be able to savor the creations of Stéphanie Le Quellec, Mauro Colagreco, Christian Le Squer, Juan Arbelaez, Maxime Frédéric and Nina Métayer. Chefs from around the world will also be present, includingAssaf Granit and Yannick Alléno, for a celebration of taste and culinary diversity.
Thursday May 8 (evening only)
Friday May 9th
Saturday, May 10th
Sunday, May 11th
We loved Gabriele Ravasio 's Breton lobster with 100-year-old balsamic vinegar at Le Trianon, Stéphanie Le Quellec's Brioche perdue with caviar and lovage, Nicolas Guercio 's incredible raspberry beignet at Le Lutetia, and Maxime Frédéric's famous hazelnut at Pleincœur for sweet tooths.
Presented as a gastronomic festival, Taste of Paris is much more than that: you come to eat the best of Parisian cuisine, during lunch hours (11:30am to 4pm), and dinner (7pm to 11:30pm). But that's not all!
Inside the spot, stands reproduce the kitchens of restaurants with their chefs and brigades... We're treated to live demonstrations by the great names in gastronomy, as well as a drinks program.
In fact, the show features a whole delegation dedicated to the beverages that accompany your meal. From champagne and cocktail bars to beer, wine, coffee and water bars, you can meet a host of experts and their products, to complete your gastronomic visit.
To enjoy your meal, all you need is a prepaid card given to you at the entrance or loadable directly online. The idea is then to take a dish and/or a dessert, here and there, aided by the program that presents all the chefs' dishes, and to enjoy them on a table or a table-top.
Our first piece of advice: choose the day you're coming. Yes, for several years now, Taste of Paris has offered a rotating program of chefs. Depending on the day you choose, you'll meet different chefs: coming back to this festival several days in a row means you'll have a unique experience every time you visit.
Then, set a small budget. Don't come empty-handed to Taste of Paris. In fact, note that you have to pay for the entrance AND the dishes you want to taste inside. As explained above, you'll need to credit a card at the entrance, in order to be able to order from the stands. To eat well and discover the various chefs' specialities, expect to pay at least between 25 and 40 euros per person, otherwise you'll be disappointed! Last but not least, arrive early and give priority to the stands you're most eager to try out, even if it means dividing up to get the best deal. Some restaurateurs are very successful, but it's all a bit fluid.
And take advantage of all these top culinary professionals to learn a few tricks of the trade! Enthusiasts looking to learn can book small-scale workshops with the chefs (very popular), cooking classes and top-flight masterclasses.
Taste of Paris is also an opportunity to discover the great producers and craftsmen who have come from all over France to offer the quality raw materials needed to create fine cuisine at stands between the restaurants.
In practical terms, Taste of Paris 2025 takes place from Thursday May 8 to Sunday May 11 at the Grand Palais, in two daily sessions: from 11:30 am to 4 pm for lunch, and from 7 pm to 11:30 pm for dinner. Admission starts at €23, with a reduced rate for young people aged 10 to 15, and free for children under 10. On site, plates are available in tasting format, from €7 to €13 depending on the creation. Payments are made exclusively via a cashless system or contactless bank card, guaranteeing fluid circulation between stands.
