A fun, family-friendly event par excellence, the Vélotour is back this Sunday, May 18, 2025, but not on the streets of Paris, like last year! It's back in the town of Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, which hosted numerous cycling events during the Olympic Games, that the event is set to take place. With spring and flowers blooming, it's the perfect time for a bike ride!
Thousands of cyclists will have the opportunity to discover an unusual route highlighting some fifteen sites that combine history, culture and sport, thanks to spots that are usually off-limits to bicycles! The program includes 17 to 20.5 km of family rides, with the only requirement being a bicycle and, above all, good spirits, starting and finishing at the Colline d'Elancourt, and passing through France Miniature!
In addition to the basic course, one to three optional loops can be added, if you fancy a bit of a challenge. Have you ever ridden underground? Biked on the clay of a legendary tennis court? Biked through a choreographic center or visited a museum? You can choose between 4 departure times, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., which must be respected to avoid traffic jams.
Don't hesitate to come dressed up and join in thefestive atmosphere, especially as prizes are awarded for the best costumes. Children can of course take part with their little bikes, or with you on a child seat or in a cart! So, are you ready to pedal?
