Running to raise awareness and take a stand against sexist and sexual violence — that’s the goal of this event, which is making its return to Paris for a new edition. The Sine Qua Non Run is set for Saturday, March 28, 2026, starting from Place de la République. Hundreds of women and men are expected to join the race, united in the fight against this alarming issue. All proceeds from the run will be donated to organizations working to combat violence against women and girls.
Two races are on offer, catering to different levels of motivation: a 6km or 10km run along the canal. The race will kick off at 6 p.m., just as dusk falls—a time when women often feel increasingly threatened, whether they’re exercising or heading home after a day out. An online version is also available, allowing participants to show their support and stand against violence toward women across France and around the world.
Of course, the Sine Qua Non Run is open to women as well as men. Its aim is to show that our society can evolve towards greater equality and mutual respect, but also to initiate discussions and raise awareness of the physical and psychological impact of sexist and sexual violence on women, all in a positive and energetic atmosphere!
