For lovers of open-water swimming, we suggest you head to Pantin this Saturday, August 23, 2025, for the new edition of"Nage ton Canal". Come and take part in or watch this famous open-water race, with 5 distances of 250, 500, 1500, 3000 and even 5000 metres! And if swimming isn't your thing, an unusual buoy race awaits you to try and get there first, a little drier!
How can you take part? Registration costs 10 euros and is open to all swimmers aged 12 and over, with or without a medical certificate. The buoy race is free, but you'll need to register in advance. To put your mind at rest, please note that the water from the Ourcq Canal is tested for bacteriological contamination by a duly accredited laboratory prior to the race.
For the more ambitious, two aquathlons are also on the schedule for this 8th edition: a 500 m swim followed by a 3.3 km run, or a 1.5 km swim and 10 km run for those who really want to push themselves, perfect if you prefer to have your feet on the ground rather than in the water.
As every year, the start will be from the Place de la Pointe, where free sporting and cultural events will be held in the village from 2pm to 6pm.
