Following the huge success of the last few editions, which brought together hundreds of swimmers in the Bassin de La Villette, the Fédération Française de Natation is organizing the new edition of the EDF Aqua Challenge on Saturday, July 26, 2025, but this time in the recently inaugurated Bras Grenelle, for swimming in the Seine. Three open-water swimming races, open to all, await you in front of the Eiffel Tower!
This exceptional stage brings the European Open Water Cup to a close, and was first proposed in 2016 the day after the French open water team returned from Rio for the Olympic Games and to support Paris' bid for the 2024 Olympics.
Please note that reservations are required in advance, but registration is open to people aged 12 to 99. Don't worry, it shouldn't be too cold in the water this weekend, as the Seine is often at the right temperature in summer. If you'd like to come and cheer on the swimmers, you can stand on the banks!
So, are you up for a dip in the Seine?
