Fans of parkour, a discipline in which the athlete must overcome urban or natural obstacles with agility, should head off to discover or rediscover this obstacle-course venue just outside Paris, in Pantin, less than 10 minutes' walk from the Église de Pantin metro station.

In this 1,000m2 arena, Blast (as it's known) offers families, groups of friends, novices and initiates alike, an obstacle course inspired by "Ninja Warrior", the famous TF1 TV show in which we take great pleasure in watching the contestants fall into the water.

If you're a fan of the show and are dying to try it out, this is the room for you. The"Ninja course", inspired by"Ninja Warrior", requires you, as in the show, to go from one platform to another without falling, hanging on by your arms to get over the various obstacles. Although this course is primarily designed for children, adults can also try it out. Children can also take on a hybrid wall, a cross between parkour andclimbing. A second wall exists for adults, in addition to the parkour obstacles.

At Blast, you'll feel like you're on"Ninja Warrior" or"Fort Boyard", or even"Intercities", as the gym has installed a workshop reminiscent of one of the show's flagship events: pulling yourself up high using a bar that you climb from notch to notch using only your arms. Right next to this obstacle is another reminiscent of the famous "tower of heroes" from"Ninja Warrior". While on TV it's a smooth rope climb, here there's no rope or other aid: you have to pull yourself up to the top by arm and leg power, leaning on the walls.

Courses and sessions are supervised by professionals. Children can take the risk without any worries, as the courses are adapted to suit everyone, so that they can learn at their own pace. There's even a training program to help you get past the most difficult obstacles. What's more, there's no need to panic if you fall, as the floor is made of the same material as children's playgrounds.

As with climbing gyms, Blast is a fully modular facility that changes face every month, so users never get bored. Parents not really interested in parkour can also take part in crosstraining or yoga, which are also offered on site, or relax in the reserved area and dine on dishes cooked from local produce and drink organic beverages.

So, when are you going to take up parkour?
