The France national football team had made many people happy in 2018, following their World Cup victory, the second in 20 years! This year, from June 11 to July 19, 2026, the Blues have the chance to repeat their feat and bring the trophy home, along with a handsome cash prize. Because, just like at Roland Garros, all elite athletes leave with a generous bonus after a victory in their sport.
For 2026, FIFA has set aside a budget of 871 million dollars for the participating nations, including 50 million for the winner, roughly 43 million euros to be shared among players and staff. Even teams that don’t go far will receive a solid prize, since from the group stage the eliminated sides will get 12.5 million dollars (10.7 million euros).
However, it’s worth noting that in recent years, most of the French national team has donated the money they earn representing France to charitable organizations.
Go France!
