Since 1985, France Alzheimer and related disorders has been dedicated to supporting individuals affected by the disease, their loved ones, and healthcare professionals. The organization’s mission is to enhance care and advance the fight against Alzheimer’s disease.
Sport, a true catalyst for social connection, is central to this initiative, particularly through the Mémorun charity run, launched in 2023 to promote values of solidarity and mutual support.
Runs and walks suitable for everyone will bring together children and adults in support of a shared cause.
All proceeds will go directly to supporting research and the initiatives of the organization.
The event will take place at Esplanade Saint-Louis in Vincennes, set in a lively village dedicated to raising awareness and fostering discussions.
As a longtime supporter of Mémorun, three-time Olympic gold medalist Marie-José Pérec will officially start the races and cheer on the participants, accompanied by athletes who are standing in solidarity with France Alzheimer.
After its success last year, the Solidarity Run is making a comeback for the season, aiming to raise awareness about Alzheimer's disease and bring together patients, caregivers, and the wider community. Memorun is open to everyone, featuring four different routes: a short race for children aged 6 to 14, a 5km walk, as well as two races of 5 to 10 kilometers each. All proceeds will support the France Alzheimer Association. Mark your calendars for September 19 and 20, 2026, at the Vincennes woods, and run for a meaningful cause!
