Running for Shelter 2026: a 10km or 5km charity run to support the homeless at Bois de Boulogne

Want to combine a bit of sport with a good cause? Run for Shelter is back on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Bois de Boulogne. This charity run aims to raise awareness about the end of the winter truce and the plight of homeless people homeless. Organized by the Toit à Moi association, it helps individuals turn their lives around.

There are three ways to take part in this charity run: a timed 10K and a 5K available as a run or walk, making the event open and inclusive for everyone. Children are welcome starting from age 6 for the walking 5K, and from age 12 for the running version.

All funds raised will be donated to the Toit à Moi association and will go directly towards supporting long-term reintegration for individuals facing extreme social exclusion. This includes helping them find accommodation and providing tangible assistance. Before and after this collective musical morning in a Parisian park, participants will have access to warm-up exercises and stretching, a relaxation area with a physiotherapist, refreshments, and on-site catering.

Behind this race is a virtual challenge launched in 2021, encouraging teams to come together and stay active from March 12 to 31 — marking the end of France's winter break and the resumption of eviction notices. Beyond the event in Paris, the challenge will take place nationwide, with a simple goal: cover as many kilometers as possible to earn points, whether by bike or on foot!
