Pilates Reformer enthusiasts will know that pilates studios are springing up all over the capital, each with their own special features. Located a stone's throw from Odéon, the Sense Club gym also offers group Pilates Reformer classes , with the added bonus of an adorable little coffee shop.
Pilates Reformer is a top-of-the-range, high-priced alternative to traditional muscle-strengthening classes. As a reminder, Pilates Reformer is practiced on a machine called a Reformer, which allows you to link slow, demanding movements to firm up your body. But in concrete terms, how does a session at Sense Club work?
Each class lasts 50 minutes and involves the whole body through a series of varied exercises. At Sense Club, several levels are available: Power Sense for the more experienced, Sense Flow for everyone, and Booty Sense which focuses on the lower body. As the gym has only a few Reformers, the coach can follow your every move carefully and correct your posture if necessary.
What we particularly appreciated at Sense Club was the possibility of enjoying a hot or cold drink after the session, thanks to their coffee shop. Accessible directly from the street, it welcomes both studio customers and passers-by wishing to take a coffee to go. How about a workout followed by a matcha?
